Symptoms
What a failing drone gimbal does
Shakes or vibrates
The picture judders in flight or on the ground, or the gimbal hums and twitches when the drone is switched on.
Drifts or will not level
The horizon tilts, the camera slowly rolls or pitches away, or it refuses to level after a calibration.
Stuck or loose
An axis does not move at all, moves with a grinding feel, or the camera hangs limp after a crash.
No image
The gimbal moves but the feed is black, flickers, or drops out when the camera is pointed a certain way.
The repair
What a gimbal repair covers
- Gimbal motors and axis arms — replaced or re-seated after a crash
- Ribbon and flex cables between the drone, the gimbal and the camera
- IMU and gimbal calibration once the mechanics are right
- Camera module faults, where the camera itself is the problem
Something else wrong with the drone? Every other repair is on the drone repair page.

Questions
Gimbal repair, answered
- My gimbal shakes or drifts — is it repairable?
- Usually, yes. Most shaking and drifting comes down to a motor, a damaged ribbon cable or a calibration that no longer holds, all of which are repairable. We diagnose it first and quote before anything is done.
- Do you repair the camera as well as the gimbal?
- Yes. Camera module faults are handled with the gimbal, since the two are serviced together; if the module has to be replaced we say so in the quote.
- How long does a gimbal repair take?
- Most repairs are completed within 3–5 business days of the drone reaching our Gurugram workshop. We service all of India — send the drone to us, or bring it in.
- Which drones' gimbals do you repair?
- Camera and photography drones of every make, cinematic rigs and survey platforms. Tell us the make and model in the form and we take it from there.
